Diversified energy company and the main natural gas distributor in Québec, Énergir is innovating to advance the energy transition while enhancing the quality of life of communities, its employees, and its partners. To achieve its ambitions, it notably leverages the value of its infrastructure and of gaseous energy within Québec’s energy ecosystem.

Convinced of the relevance of renewable natural gas (RNG) in the energy mix, Énergir acts with conviction and proactivity, from development through to commercialization, to develop the full potential of the RNG sector in Québec.

In 2018, Énergir became one of the first North American gas distributors to inject RNG into its network. Today, it continues its efforts to inject more Québec-produced RNG into its network and to raise customer awareness of the benefits of this 100% renewable energy.

Its teams support municipalities and project developpers throughout the process, from design to operation of infrastructure, including connection, injection, gas quality control and marketing.
